Who is The Experience of We

Everyone. Everything.
The trees, without whom we could not breathe. The bees, without whom we could not eat. The rivers, our global veins. The people who pick up and process our garbage. Those who enjoy material abundance. Those who live on the street.
This website represents a particular conceptualization of the Experience of We, but let’s be clear: Whether we name it or not, whether or not we consciously opt in - the Experience of We has always been happening.
And it’s co-created by everyone and everything.
That being said, this particular conceptualization of the Experience of We is co-created and stewarded by some specific people …
Who is The Experience of We
The truest answer to this question is …
Everyone.
That being said, this particular conceptualization of the Experience of We is co-created and stewarded by some specific people …
Hey there!
We’re Matthew and Naomi Danielle Morningstar.
The Experience of We is based on the ongoing experience of our relationship as we consciously co-evolve.
We have a lot we want to share with you – there’s a lot of context necessary to understand why we’ve embarked on this journey.
To make it more digestible, we’ve broken it up into sections.
We’re excited for you to get to know us, and we hope we have the opportunity to get to know you!
Since our beginning, our shared journey has been marked by striving towards our deepest sense of meaning.
When we met, we were unmoored. Born into already collapsed social systems, the subsequent years of sickness within our relational ecosystems had caused both of us to lose our sense of meaning. We were navigating the world on manic-depressive nihilism, and we were rapidly spiraling towards self-destruction.
Hurtling along those spirals, we collided in the most unexpected of ways, thrown together by misappropriated expressions of fertility and virility.
During our first year of knowing each other, we engaged in a continuous process of conscious negotiation, developing shared boundaries and shared understandings. Incrementally, we built a ladder – of values, actions, and meaning – and started climbing out of the darkness that had plagued us all our lives.
In the years that followed, we became increasingly aware that we were an inextricable part of each other’s evolution, and that we wanted to signal that fundamental sense of interdependence to the people in our lives – Naomi proposed to Matthew in an emergent ritual, and we became engaged.
We have always longed for tradition, yet we feel deeply called to embrace and embody cultural evolution.
As explored in the previous section, when it came time to choose our names, we embraced the present: Matthew took Naomi’s middle name, Danielle, to honor the divine feminine – within himself, and within the universe.
In balance, and in honor of the part of us that longs towards tradition, Matthew searched within himself for a last name, and proposed it to Naomi: Morningstar.
The Morningstar, often identified as the planet Venus, has a rich and layered history spanning millennia, touching on astronomy, mythology, and spiritual symbolism.
Venus orbits closer to the Sun than Earth, resulting in a unique orbital relationship that has long fascinated humanity:
For 263 days, Venus shines as the Morningstar, rising just before dawn. After disappearing behind the Sun for 50 days, it reemerges as the Evening Star for another 263 days, setting shortly after sunset.
As one of the brightest elements in the sky, Venus has captivated humanity’s attention since ancient times.
